The US Department of Energy and the Federal Emergency Management Agency have released a one-year progress report for the Puerto Rico Grid Resilience and Transition to 100% Renewable Study, which has defined four potential scenarios for Puerto Rico to meet its renewable energy targets, according to a Monday news release.
The two-year study focuses on community-driven pathways for Puerto Rico to reach 100% renewable electricity by 2050 as well as improving its power system against future extreme weather events, DOE said.
