Dattco Settles Suit, Will Transition to Zero Emissions Vehicles

Dattco Inc., a school bus company in Connecticut, has agreed to update its anti-idling measures and spend $1.8 million to transition to zero emission vehicles as part of a settlement with a conservation group filed in a federal court in the state.

The company will train all drivers on an updated anti-idling policy, according to the agreement filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. The company will also install an automatic engine-shutoff technology that will prevent idling for more than three minutes, the filing says.
