CPSC Phthalates Advisers to Continue Probe
Of Vinyl Softener’s Health Effects on Children

A Consumer Product Safety Commission panel appointed to study the effects on children’s health of phthalates and phthalate alternatives in toys and child care articles plans to take stock of its progress at a March 30-31 meeting, the agency said in a March 15 Federal Register notice.
