Conservation Groups Aim to Squish Dow, FMC Insecticide in Lawsuit

Three California-based conservation advocates sued the EPA for endangering wildlife and public health as a result of exposure to a carcinogenic insecticide.

The lawsuit—filed by the Center for Biological Diversity, Center for Environmental Health, and Californians for Pesticide Reform—alleges that the Environmental Protection Agency and the Fish and Wildlife Service failed to properly weigh impacts on rare species from a chemical they call both a carcinogen and a neurotoxin.
