Coastal Loses Challenge to Radiological Waste Cleanup Contracts

Coastal Environmental Group Inc. lost its federal court protest that it was unfairly denied an Army Corps of Engineers contract for remediation services at hazardous and radiological waste sites.

The company lacked standing to dispute the award because it didn’t allege facts showing that it would have a substantial chance for an award but-for alleged errors in the procurement process, Judge Carolyn N. Lerner of the US Court of Federal Claims said in an opinion released Tuesday.
