The Port of Portland, Ore., announced it has agreed to the construction of a $500-million, propane-export terminal on the Columbia River.
Pembina Pipeline Corp. said in a Sept. 2 press release that it will “initially develop a 37,000 barrel per day” facility it anticipates will go into service early in 2018. The Calgary-based company said the terminal will provide it with access to large international markets for propane derived from natural gas production in western Canada.
