California Senate Advances Climate, Generator, Wildfire Bills

In a marathon session Thursday California’s Senate passed bills dealing with climate change, wildfire prevention, and generator use.

The Senate also passed previously agreed upon budget amendments and trailer bills to put the spending plan into action.

The measures, which now head to the Assembly, include:


  • SB 795 would allocate up to $2 billion each year for five years for housing and climate programs.
