Business Groups Toss Support to Energy Companies in Climate Suit

The National Association of Manufacturers, Energy Marketers of America, and National Association of Convenience Stores threw their weight behind oil and gas companies embroiled in lengthy climate litigation.

Rhode Island and other cities, states, and counties are engaged in a “coordinated, national litigation campaign” that undermines energy use and federal climate action, according to an amicus brief filed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
