Boston School Buses Idle Too Long, Pollute Too Much, Suit Says

The bus company that ferries Boston children to and from school is accused in a new lawsuit of allowing its vehicles to idle in their parking lots far beyond the allowable time period.

Massachusetts law restricts vehicle idling to five minutes at a time in an effort to improve the Commonwealth’s air quality.

The Conservation Law Foundation included a log of Transdev North America Inc.'s alleged violations of the five-minute cap in its July 9 complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
