Billionaire Hohn Presses Moody’s, S&P Global on Emissions

Billionaire Chris Hohn said his hedge fund filed shareholder proposals requesting that credit-rating companies Moody’s Corp. and S&P Global Inc. and Google parent Alphabet Inc. disclose their greenhouse gas emissions and give shareholders a say in plans to reduce them.

The investor targeted four additional companies as part of a new campaign where he’s urging asset managers and others to take action on global warming by taking steps such as creating climate plans and disclosing emissions data, according to a webinar that his London-based charity, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, held last week.
