Biden Oil and Gas Leasing Pause Gets Environmentalist Support

A coalition of environmental, recreational, and tribal groups seek to intervene in Wyoming’s challenge to the Biden administration’s pause on all oil and gas lease sales on public lands, according to a filing in a federal court in the state.

The Center for Biological Diversity, Sierra Club, Indian People’s Action, and other groups tell the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming that they have devoted years to advocating for such a pause while the government considers “much-needed reforms.”
