Biden Must Cut Carbon Emissions From HUD Housing, Groups Say

The Biden administration is considering adopting, for the first time in six years, a building code that efficiency groups say would prevent millions of tons of carbon from being spewed into the atmosphere and save low- and moderate-income homeowners a billion dollars each year in energy bills.

But several high-profile groups—including the U.S. Green Building Council, American Chemistry Council, Natural Resources Defense Council, and Alliance to Save Energy—say the administration should be proceeding much more quickly.
