Biden Extends Agencies’ Environmental Review Update by Two Years

Federal agencies are getting two more years to propose changes to federal environmental permitting, giving the Biden administration extra time to decide whether to jettison or just tweak Trump administration efforts to speed up environmental reviews.

The White House Council on Environmental Quality on Monday announced an interim final rule giving agencies until Sept. 14, 2023 to propose their revised National Environmental Policy Act procedures.
