The EPA is scrapping a set of sweeping changes the Trump administration made to an internal appeals board—a win for advocates who said the updates would politicize the process and sideline environmental justice concerns.

The Environmental Protection Agency on Wednesday announced it was rescinding most of a 2020 rule that overhauled the Environmental Appeals Board, an administrative panel that resolves disputes over permits and agency orders.
