BGOV Bill Summary: H.R. 4432, FY22 Defense Funding

The Defense Department and related programs would receive $705.9 billion in discretionary appropriations in fiscal 2022 under H.R. 4432.

The measure would provide about $10 billion more than fiscal 2021 and $258.2 million less than the president’s budget request, according to the House Appropriations Committee report.

The committee approved the bill by a party-line vote of 33-23 on July 13.
