Automakers Urge High Court to Reject U.S. View on VW Diesel Case

Volkswagen AG’s Clean Air Act defense of a diesel emissions tampering suit by Ohio merits U.S. Supreme Court review, automakers’ groups and others told the justices in friend of the court briefs that countered recent arguments by the Biden administration.

The administration’s favored “wait-and-see approach” doesn’t make sense given the reality of regulatory procedures, they said Thursday.
