The EPA said it won’t go after large groups of companies for failing to add their names to a list of businesses that must pay for the agency to evaluate the risks of 20 chemicals.

The Environmental Protection Agency announced Wednesday that three broad groups of companies won’t be punished for not identifying themselves to help pay a portion of the chemical risk evaluation fee imposed by a Toxic Substances Control Act fee rule issued in October 2018.
