Army Corps Issues Water Discharge Permits for Pipelines, Mines

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has issued 16 discharge permits under the Clean Water Act, which environmental groups criticized as a license to pollute coming in the waning days of the Trump administration.

Environmentalists “hope and expect the Biden administration will move quickly to undo them,” said Jon Devine, director of federal water policy at Natural Resources Defense Council.
