The Ninth Circuit should reverse a ruling that Alaska acted too quickly when it sued seeking access to 28 million acres of federal land, according to a filing in a federal court in the state.
Alaska filed its lawsuit in the US District Court for the District of Alaska after the Bureau of Land Management paused Trump-era decisions to revoke land withdrawals in the state. The public land orders needed the Department of Defense’s consent, the agency said, and the orders needed more review on the environmental effects.
