Advocates Make Last Bid to Urge EPA Ban of Widely Used Pesticide

Environmentalists urged a federal appeals court in Seattle to require the EPA to ban a widely used pesticide.

The oral arguments, which happened July 9 and 10, follow a March 2017 decision by the Trump administration not to ban the pesticide chlorpyrifos, an insecticide made by Dow AgroSciences LLC, FMC Corp., and Adama Agricultural Solutions Ltd that has been linked to children’s cognitive and developmental health.
