Activists Seek to Revive Climate Parts of Manchin-Rejected Bill

Environmental activists and Democrats are strategizing about how to revive climate provisions in the nearly $2 trillion spending plan imperiled by the opposition of West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin.
“We are intent on getting this done,” said Tiernan Sittenfeld, senior vice president of the League of Conservation Voters. “Senator Manchin said he was a no on the bill that passed the House, but there are many ways to get this done, and that’s what matters, and that’s what has to happen.”
