3M, Tyco PFAS Foam Liability Cases Join Multidistrict Litigation

3M Co., Chemours Co., Tyco Fire Products LP, and other chemical and fire suppressant makers succeeded in their bids to move three cases alleging harm from PFAS contamination into multidistrict litigation in federal district court in South Carolina.

The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation said the cases from Michigan, Arizona, and Texas are suited for multidistrict litigation because they share factual questions regarding the science behind PFAS exposure. The panel moved the cases to the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.
