WH Administrators Barred From Offering, Servicing Benefits Plans

Maryland-based WH Administrators Inc. and its two top officers won’t be offering or servicing welfare benefit plans amid Labor Department accusations that they violated federal benefits law by failing to pay more than $8 million in covered medical claims.

WHA, its owner Brendan Turner, and his wife Susanne Sheil, who serves as the company’s chief operating officer, are barred from offering, selling, or establishing a welfare benefit plan, according to a consent judgment issued July 9 by Judge Richard D. Bennett of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
