Kansas Athletics Moves to Keep Football Practice Tapes Private

The University of Kansas’ athletics program is continuing to fight a former football coach’s discovery requests, asking a federal judge to block his subpoena seeking footage of all practices and games in the season following his 2018 termination.

David Beaty’s request to see practice and game tapes is irrelevant to his lawsuit seeking $3 million under his employment contract, Kansas Athletics Inc. said in a motion filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas.
