Ex-Walmart Worker Drops COBRA Suit After Class Action Setback

Three former Walmart Inc. employees dropped their lawsuit challenging the retailer’s health coverage notices.

The move comes two days after a federal magistrate judge in Florida recommended against certifying the case as a 147,000-person class action.

The July 17 dismissal notice, filed by former Walmart store manager Jamie Bryant, follows a July 15 recommendation by Magistrate Judge Jonathan Goodman of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
