Employers Face Pitfalls in Requiring Covid-19 Shots for Workers

Employers need to be aware of legal pitfalls in getting their employees vaccinated, according to lawyers who spoke Monday at the ABA’s 2021 May Tax Meeting.

Employers can make vaccination mandatory because the government has declared Covid-19 to be a pandemic and employers are obliged to provide a safe work place, Marc Katz, a managing partner in DLA Piper’s Dallas office, said.
