Democrats Release Updated Stimulus with Foreign, Tribal Aid (1)

House Democrats released an updated version of their coronavirus stimulus bill Wednesday, adding funds for foreign aid, tribal governments and housing, and other measures ahead of a vote later this week.

House Budget Chairman John Yarmuth (D-Ky.) filed a manager’s amendment that added three sections previously excluded from the committees on Foreign Affairs, Natural Resources, and Science, Space, and Technology. The House Rules Committee is set to meet Friday to make final changes and set a rule for consideration of the $1.9 trillion stimulus ahead of a House floor vote later that day.
