Cornell’s Win Doesn’t Tank Columbia Retirement Suit, Court Told

A recent victory for Cornell University in a lawsuit over its retirement plan doesn’t spell doom for a similar case involving Columbia University’s plan, Columbia workers told a federal judge in the Southern District of New York.

Cornell defeated most of the case against it by pointing to a lack of evidence that its alleged conduct caused retirement plan losses, the Columbia workers said in an Oct. 7 letter.
