Connecticut Workers Entitled to Time Off to Vote Under New Law

Connecticut employers are required to give workers two hours of unpaid time off to vote, under a bill signed into law on Wednesday by Gov. Ned Lamont (D).

Lawmakers approved the measure, a provision of the state budget (S.B. 1202), in a special session June 17. The Senate voted 20 to 6 in favor, with 10 abstentions, and the House passed it 89 to 50.
