Case: Retirement Plans/Death Benefits (Ohio Ct. App.)

The ex-wife of a deceased police officer isn’t entitled to survivor benefits from the Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund, an appellate court ruled. The ex-wife claimed that she, not her ex-husband’s widow, was entitled to surviving spouse benefits under the terms of their divorce decree.
