Spirit AeroSystems Forces Ex-CEO to Pay $750,000 for E-Discovery

Spirit AeroSystems Inc. won a court order forcing former chief executive officer Larry Lawson to pay more than $750,000 in digital discovery costs the company incurred while defending Lawson’s $2 million compensation lawsuit, according to a ruling by a federal judge in Kansas.

Magistrate Judge Angel D. Mitchell on Thursday ordered Lawson to pay nearly all of Spirit’s requested expenses in connection with a technology-assisted review of about 322,000 documents, which was done at Lawson’s request.
