Misusing Client Data Earns ScholarChip Five-Year Competition Ban

ScholarChip Card LLC is permanently banned from misusing or disclosing client information provided by University Accounting Service LLC, and from competing with its former business partner for five years, after breaching confidentiality provisions in their service contract, a federal judge in Oregon ruled.

UAS and ScholarChip began working together in 2006, when ScholarChip began servicing student loans held by UAS, a debt collection company.
