Boeing Seeks to Avoid Sanction in Stratotanker Trial

Boeing Co. urged a federal court not to impose a sanction for deleting evidence from an executive’s computer in 2006, which would hurt Boeing’s ability to defeat contract breach claims in an ongoing trial.

Alabama Aircraft Industries Inc. and Pemco Aircraft Engineering Services Inc. accuse Boeing of breaching a partnership agreement to bid on a KC-135 Stratotanker maintenance contract for the Air Force. Boeing won the contract in 2007 after the termination of the partnership.
