Varadkar Defends Ireland’s Reliance on Corporate Tax Cash

Ireland’s reliance on corporate tax income is “a good problem to have,” the country’s Deputy Prime Minister Leo Varadkar said, after foreign investment in the first half of the year rose to a record.

Employment creation plans climbed above pre-pandemic records, with 155 investments providing employment potential of more than 18,000 jobs, IDA Ireland said in a statement on Wednesday in Dublin.
