A cryptocurrency tax lawsuit should be dismissed because the government authorized and delivered the requested tax refund with interest, the Justice Department told a federal court.
The taxpayers can’t keep their suit alive by arguing that they have rejected the refund and that the case still presents a live controversy, the department added in a memo supporting its motion to dismiss.
