U.S., Europe Vow to Remove Digital Taxes—But Details Scarce (1)

The U.S. and European countries have reached a deal to roll back digital tax measures as part of a larger multilateral agreement, officials on both sides say, but details have yet to emerge about how a global overhaul will mandate the repeal of digital levies around the world.

French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire told reporters Thursday—and a U.S. official confirmed—that the European countries with digital taxes labeled discriminatory by the U.S. had reached an agreement on how the measures would be rolled back as part of a global deal.
