The U.S. Tax Court is extending its shift to remote trial proceedings as a result of the continuing pandemic, it said Wednesday.
The court determined it wasn’t appropriate to conduct proceedings in person from Feb. 1-Feb. 25, after it assessed factors tied to nationwide Covid-19 cases, it said in a press release. The court previously announced that it wouldn’t hold in-person proceedings in January.
- Trial sessions in New York and several other cities will now be held remotely, while a Feb. 14 Chicago session was rescheduled for June 30.
