The Swiss Federal Council March 11 opened a consultation on the temporary regulation to ensure the implementation of the OECD/G20 project on taxation of the digital economy. Topics covered include: 1) a 15 percent tax on international companies with annual global revenue of over 750 million euros (US$822 million); 2) the collection of additional taxes by the cantons; and 3) the application of general rules of national fiscal equalization on the additional tax revenue.
