Strip Clubs Banned From Covid Aid Tell Court They Face Closures

More than 30 strip clubs want a district court to strike down Paycheck Protection Program rules that block them from getting the coronavirus aid funds.

Led by Camelot Banquet Rooms Inc.—a gentlemen’s club based in Milwaukee—the businesses argue that Small Business Administration rules barring them from receiving the loans “improperly and unconstitutionally limit benefits to businesses and workers unquestionably engaged in First Amendment-protected activities,” according to the Thursday complaint.
