Outgoing OECD tax chief Pascal Saint-Amans said the positive state of negotiations over the global tax pact has allowed him to step down from his post.
“I can leave because the talks are in such a strong position,” he told an audience Wednesday at the International Fiscal Association Congress in Berlin. Saint-Amans will leave his position as director of the Center for Tax Policy and Administration at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development at the end of October.
