Latest Batch of IRS Stimulus Checks Includes ‘Plus-Up’ Payments

The IRS recently distributed nearly 2 million more pandemic relief payments in a batch that included Veterans Affairs and Social Security recipients, as well as individuals owed supplemental payments because the initial amount they received was too small.

The latest delivery brings the total number of payments distributed under the latest pandemic relief package to approximately 159 million, totaling more than $376 billion, the IRS and Treasury said Wednesday in news releases. The most recent payments began processing on April 9, they said.
