Last-Ditch SALT Relief Pushed by ‘Front-Line’ Democrats (2)

Five House Democrats from high-tax states are pushing their colleagues to protect state-level moves to make the state and local tax deduction more generous.

Representative Mikie Sherrill of New Jersey is leading the effort to include language in an annual appropriations bill that would prevent the IRS from blocking states from passing laws allowing taxpayers to circumvent the $10,000 cap on SALT write-offs.
