IRS’s New Fraud Office to Create Team for Emerging Threats

The IRS’s new Fraud Enforcement Office will set up a team to better prepare the agency for threats like the coronavirus pandemic, according to its leader.

The office hopes to begin hiring for the “emerging threat mitigation” team soon, executive director Damon Rowe said Friday during a virtual conference hosted by the University of San Diego School of Law.
