IRS News Release: Filing, Payment Deadlines Postponed for Victims of Hurricane Ida in Pennsylvania (IRC §7508A)

Tax return filing and payment deadlines for victims of Hurricane Ida in parts of Pennsylvania have been postponed, the IRS announced late September 13. The tax relief postpones various tax filing and payment deadlines falling on or after August 31, 2021, and before January 3, 2022. As a result, affected individuals and businesses will have until January 3, 2022, to file returns and pay any taxes that were originally due during this period, the IRS noted.
