IRS Considering Tweaks in Carbon Capture Rule to Add Pollutants

The IRS is mulling whether it will add a number of other pollutants to its carbon capture and sequestration proposed rule.

Maggie Stehn, an IRS attorney at the agency’s Passthroughs and Special Industries unit, said the agency may add other chemicals and gases to its qualified carbon oxide definition.
