Budget Commissioner Defends EU Digital Tax Delay Amid Concerns

The EU Budget Commissioner defended the decision to postpone an EU digital tax plan to later this year in response to questions and concerns from lawmakers Tuesday.

The European Commission was planning to debut plans for the new tax this summer, but pushed it as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development-led discussions on a global tax overhaul reached a preliminary agreement in July.
