Nevada Banks $30 Million Under General Tax Amnesty Plan

Nevada picked up $30.4 million in delinquent tax payments from 3,366 businesses and individuals during its recent general tax amnesty and waived $13 million in penalties to encourage participation, the Department of Taxation said.

The state collected three times the $10 million Gov. Steve Sisolak (D) expected when he called for a 90-day tax amnesty ahead of a special legislative session in July 2020 to address a $1.2 billion budget shortfall.
