Missouri Appeals Decision Over Pandemic Aid Spending

Missouri has filed a notice of appeal, after a federal court last week dismissed its lawsuit against the Treasury Department over restrictions around the $350 billion the American Rescue Plan sent to states.

The Monday appeal, filed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, comes after a U.S. District Court ruled Missouri lacked standing to challenge restrictions on the funds because it can’t show that it suffered an injury from those limits.
