District of Columbia Legislature Passes Emergency Resolution Concerning Property Tax Rebate for Hosting Performing Artists

The District of Columbia Council June 29 passed an emergency declaration resolution recommending the adoption of the Performing Arts Promotion Emergency Amendment Act of 2021 after a single reading. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, qualified businesses that host live performances by performing artists for a minimum of 48 hours per month won’t qualify for a property tax rebate.
