California Governor Signs Bill Expanding Film, TV Tax Credit

California is expanding tax credits for sound stage construction and television series made in the state under a new law signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom on Wednesday.

The new law (S.B. 144) is part of the overall budget package for the fiscal year that began July 1. It also adds new diversity measures to the tax credit program, administered by the California Film Commission.
